Celebrating 150 years, Kutztown University is a public university founded in 1866 with a combined undergraduate and graduate student population of 9,000 – 8,300 undergraduate students and 700 graduate students. It is one of 14 universities in the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education. Close to 100 international students from over 30 countries currently attend Kutztown University. Tuition waivers for international students are awarded based on merit and financial need.

Kutztown University is located in the small rural town of Kutztown in southeastern Pennsylvania, which is in the northeastern part of the United States. Students get complete immersion in the daily life and culture of the U.S. They are surrounded by the rolling hills of Pennsylvania, clean air, and award-winning campus grounds. It is also easy to access major U.S. cities from Kutztown. A bus terminal in town provides daily routes to New York City (2 hours) and Philadelphia (1.5 hours). The cost of living in Kutztown is relatively low, especially compared to a big city.

Students may live on campus for the entire length of their studies in one of our many residence halls. There are traditional two-person residence halls, suites, and apartments. Students also have several options for off-campus housing that are within walking distance of the campus or served by a campus bus/shuttle route.
